Buoy Logistics & Marine Services operates a strategic two storage yards located in the Khor Al Zubair Free Zone.
The first storage yard covers an area of 27,500 square meters, while the second storage yard covers an area of 12,500 square meters.
This yard is dedicated to storing various types of goods and heavy equipment, and serves as a key hub for re-export operations to support Iraq’s oil and gas sector.
The storage yards include outdoor and indoor warehouses for storing goods and equipment, as well as a building housing administrative offices and staff rest areas. The yards are fully secured with surveillance cameras and security guards.

Key works and activities in the storage yards
The storage yards in the free zone were used to re-export several drilling rigs for major oil companies operating in the East Baghdad and Ahdab oil fields. The rigs were transported with high-level coordination to the Khor Al-Zubair free zone, stored in the storage yards, and then cleared through customs by our team in the free zone before being re-exported and delivered.
The storage yards were also used for the re-export and import of various equipment to and from the Halfaya oil field.

Solution:
The company provided a comprehensive logistics plan that included loading the equipment and transporting it from the fields to the storage yards in the Khor Al-Zubair Free Zone, managing temporary storage operations, and then initiating the customs clearance process and transferring ownership of the equipment from one company to another through the customs clearance team. Re-export or re-import was then carried out according to the clients’ requirements, with full supervision of all operational and customs procedures.
