Successful Clearance of Two Out-of-Gauge Shipments Despite Logistical Challenges
In light of increasing logistical challenges and crises affecting global supply chains, customs clearance is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, especially when dealing with special shipments.
Buoy Logistics and Marine Services is proud to have successfully completed the customs clearance of two out-of-gauge shipments through the Umm Qasr port. This process required exceptional procedures and close coordination with relevant authorities, from border crossings to the final delivery location.
The total weight of the two shipments was 778 tons, with a total volume of 5,465 cubic meters. This presented a complex logistical challenge in terms of transportation, handling, and clearance, requiring the use of 48 trucks of various types to suit the nature, size, and weight of the equipment.
Despite the challenges associated with the size of the shipments, procedural complexities, and operational conditions, our team successfully completed the task and delivered the two shipments to the East Baghdad Oil Field according to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
We are proud of the BUOY – Umm Qasr team for their successful and highly efficient customs clearance process, as well as their meticulous monitoring of loading operations and ensuring their execution according to the highest safety standards.
This achievement reflects our expertise in managing complex logistics operations, our ability to adapt to exceptional circumstances, and our commitment to providing reliable solutions that meet the needs of the oil and gas sector.
We continue to embrace challenges and transform them into opportunities for success.
